The "COLTS" were formed in 1993 by Wullie McGuigan and Chic Baird for their sons Chris and George. Soon every young ned,hoodilum and rogue from Wishaw, Newmains,Craigneuk and surrounding areas signed up and collectively became known as the " TEAM FROM HELL " Minibus drivers would phone in sick to their firms on a Friday night through fear of being landed with "THE HIRE FROM HELL" on the Saturday. Eventually there came a man from Muirhouse, Gino O Hare a man who would risk life and limb(And usually had to) To make a fast buck step forward for the job of transporting the "TEAM". Within weeks the COLTS were Battling in Bellshill, Fighting in Forgewood,Escorted from East Kilbride and Hounded out of Hamilton.So it wasnt long before Wullie and Chic decided they needed help(literally) HELP IS AT HAND It was THE COLTS 1995 ANNUAL BRAWL orwas that BALL? No,brawl I was right the first time,that we approached Alan Richardson and a certain EDWARD KINDLAN,who was worse the wear for shandy and asked them if they wanted to lend a hand.They both agreed and as they say "THE REST IS HISTORY"

THE BIRTH OF THE BABES
Alan and Eddy also had two boys of the same age (7)
Alan jnr and Dean, so along with some of the kids pals they set up an "under 7s"team.Also making his
debut in the team at the grand old age of 4 was one of Eddys other sons,Daniel,who in later years was to star in his own age group.

The first sponsors the colts had were the aptly named RASCALS BAR who sponsored the TEAM FROM HELL
with a set of strips with the name "RASCALS"
emblasened on the front,a name that they proudly lived up to.

Other sponsors over the years have been : PETER MURRAY OF FORTRESS WINDOWS (WISHAW) AUTO TRADER millionaire lottery winner JOHN Mc GUINNESS, ACORN VET SERVICES , McDONALDS of Wishaw JOE O RAW of PROACTIVE RECRUITMENT ( MOTHERWELL) and EDDYS work RELAY TECHNICAL TRANSPORT based in COATBRIDGE,IVER AND WARRINGTON. to all of whom we at the club are eternally grateful The Club are currently being sponsored for their strips by Relay Technical Transport Ltd and SPECTRUM PERSONNEL of MOTHERWELL. The club itself have burst the bank in obtaining NEW JACKETS,TRACKSUIT BOTTOMS,BAGS,BOOTBAGS AND FOOTBALL SOCKS for every child at the club. BACK TO THE HISTORY The COLTS were the first club in the area to start playing 7 a side football. We joined the Bellshill district league in the December of 1993. When the league folded we signed up with the Lanarkshire soccer 7s based in East Kilbride. In 2002 the call of competitive football had to be answered and so the Colts joined the  Lanarkshire YMCA Youth Football League. As the years passed the coaching staff changed. Chic and Alan left the club so it was down to WULLIE and EDDY to fly the flag.With the demise of the TEAM FROM HELL,Eddy and Wullie decided to start another team for young Daniel's age group, a decision that was to keep the pair out the house some Sundays from 8am until 4pm.So it wasn't long before they needed some assistance.Step forward ALAN MC RORIE,STUART MC EWAN, KATRINA PICARD and JIM NELSON  all of whom were put through their S.F.A. COACHING CERTIFICATES by the Club. (WULLIE AND EDDY had been certified some years before.) ( JOKE. I THINK?)In the summer of 2000 the oldest team was decimated by the lure of 11 aside football for the stronger players at the club. leaving only the weaker players.We struggled through until summer of 2001 before admitting defeat and ending that age group. Again there was a major upheaval at the club JIM NELSON went to wishaw boys club ALAN and STUART started up their own team(CAMBUSNETHAN BOYS)So again we were left with one age group. This time Wullie and Eddy decided just to concentrate on the one team. A decision that holds to this day. (PHOTOS OF ALL TEAMS CAN BE SEEN ON PHOTO PAGE.)
